Journals and articles
The Library has journals, in print and electronic format, covering different subject areas: business, economics, finance, management, geography, earth & environmental sciences.
Being the journal library of the Social Sciences Department, it also owns the journals of the Political Sciences area.
How to find a journal
To check whether a journal is owned by Padua University Libraries, use GalileoDiscovery.
You can click on Journal Search in the top bar and use the following options to find journals:

Print journals
If only the paper format of a journal is available, check the location and availability in the library:
- current issues of journals are located on open shelves in alphabetical order in Salone (red displays)
- pre-current issues are kept in the repository on the ground floor, placed in progressive numerical order: EMERO.PER.No. or GEO.PER.No.
Remember that journals are not loanable, but can only be read on site or photocopied within the limit of 15 percent of the publication, in compliance with Italian copyright law (Law No. 633 of April 22nd, 1941and subsequent amendments)
Some of the journals are stored at the New Legnaro Archive - NAL, which is not accessible to the public. Procedures to request this material are detailed on the web page of the New Legnaro Archives - NAL.
