Photocopying, printing and scanning
The University of Padua offers institutional users self-service scanning, printing, and copying services using printers located at the University libraries. To use the service, you must authenticate by placing the University badge close to the front area of the printer or by entering your institutional account credentials.
Scan
Scans must be sent to your institutional e-mail address or can be saved on a USB pen drive connected to the printer.
The service is free of charge for all institutional users.
Print and copy
You can print from the library computers and your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) using the Email to Print service. The document's file to be printed, in PDF format, must be attached and sent to the email address stampa.biblio@unipd.it from your institutional email address.
Printing from a USB pen drive connected to the printer is also possible.
It is also possible to make photocopies in compliance with current copyright protection regulations.

Depending on the type of user, there may be charges for printing and photocopying.
Charge credit
If you have a *@studenti.unipd.it institutional email account, you must hold the necessary credit to make photocopies and prints. The credit can be purchased by connecting to the PaperCut portal and authenticating with the institutional Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials.
Payment of the credit is carried out via the PagoPA national payment system and involves a variable fee depending on the financial intermediary and the amount to be charged.

Prices are per single A3 or A4 page.
What kind of materials can be photocopied?
You can photocopy and print personal and library materials for personal use and research, according to copyright laws.
What cannot be photocopied? Precious or rare books, manuscripts, oversized books, music scores, photographs, and materials in poor condition or damaged. In case you need any of the aforementioned materials, please ask for assistance from the library where the document is held.
Copyright
You can photocopy and print parts of library materials for personal use and research, as provided for by the Italian copyright law (Law n. 633, April 22nd, 1941, Law n. 159, May 22nd 1993 and further modifications).
No commercial use of copies is allowed and users are held responsible for law infringements.
