Digital repositories

The University of Padua Library System manages the following institutional digital archives.

Research Data Unipd

Research Data Unipd supports research produced by members of the University of Padua. The service aims to facilitate data discovery, data sharing, and reuse as required by funding institutions (e.g., the European Commission).

 

Phaidra

Phaidra (Permanent Hosting, Archiving and Indexing of Digital Resources and Assets) is the University of Padua Library System's platform for long-term archiving of digital objects and collections.

 

TRUST Principles

The University Library Centre (ULC) supports the TRUST Principles for digital repositories, a shared framework that fosters dialogue and the adoption of good practices in digital preservation among all stakeholders. This commitment is part of ULC's broader dedication to the responsible, open, and sustainable management of digital resources, promoting a reliable information environment for researchers, scholars, citizens, and institutions.

Transparency

Being transparent about archival services and preserved data, verifiable based on publicly accessible evidence.

Responsibility

Being responsible for ensuring the authenticity and integrity of preserved data, as well as the reliability and continuity of the service.

User Focus

Ensuring compliance with data management regulations and the expectations of reference communities.

Sustainability

Maintaining service continuity and long-term data preservation.

Technology

Providing technological infrastructure and capabilities able to support secure, persistent and reliable services.

The TRUST Principles are an initiative developed by the Research Data Alliance (RDA), the international and interdisciplinary organisation for research data management and sharing.
