Coursebooks

The Library provides coursebooks for examinations for First cycle degree course and Second cycle degree course of the Department of Mathematics:

First cycle degree in Mathematics, Computer science

Second cycle degree in Mathematics, Computer science, Computational finance, Data Science, Cybersecurity, International cybersecurity and cyberintelligence

The coursebooks are those listed by the teaching staff on the Educational offer website; from the site, they are connected to GalileoDiscovery via a magnifying glass icon that links to information about the book (location, availability, etc.). 

It is possible to suggest the purchase of books recommended in class but not available in the library.

 

Loan of course books

Course books purchased in print copy can be found in the Sala Rossa; in GalileoDiscovery the location begins with the word DIDATTICA. Their lending conditions are:

  • books with a green stamp: 15-day loan
    in the catalogue are identified by the status: "Prestabile 15 giorni"
  • books with a yellow stamp: night and holiday loan
    in the catalogue are identified by the status: "Prestabile 1 giorno"
    Terms for night and holiday loans:
    Mondays - Thursdays: loan from 5 pm, return by 10 am the following day;
    Fridays and before a holiday: loan from noon, return by 10 am on the first day the library reopens.

Multi-copy books can all be borrowed for 15 days if there is an eBook version.

 

Electronic course books

Many course books are also available as eBooks, purchased from the University or open access. The conditions of access and use are set by the providers and described in GalileoDiscovery: some eBooks can only be read online, others can be downloaded, digitally borrowed and/or printed.
