Journals and articles
How to find a journal article
GalileoDiscovery is the Discovery Tool of the Padua Library System and the main tool to search for books, journals and articles owned by the University and by public libraries.
To find scientific articles on a specific topic or by a certain author, you can use GalileoDiscovery or multidisciplinary or subject-specific databases.
The databases available for the University Library System can be found in GalileoDiscovery (Search databases function). On the library website, in the Find materials section, some of the most significant resources for the subject areas of political science, sociology, historical studies and international studies are highlighted in rotation.
Searching through these bibliographic tools is different from searching through a generic search engine mainly because it allows the retrieval of referenced bibliographic information with a guarantee of scientificity.
