Computers and Wi-Fi
The library currently has 10 computer networked and bookable via Affluences.
The use of these workstations is individual and is available to all institutional users of the University who have an e-mail address @studenti.unipd.it or @unipd.it. Login with a their own e-mail credentials (SSO login)
Other workstations are available for GalileoDiscovery queries only.
It is not possible to print from the library computers.
All reading room seats are cabled and covered by the wireless networks
- Eduroam for institutional users
- Unipd Guest for guest users
Instructions on Eduroam
Access to the Eduroam wireless network is allowed to all institutional users with an email address @unipd.it or @studenti.unipd.it. The account to be used in the configuration is that of one's own institutional email.
Guests from other universities covered by the Eduroam network must instead have already carried out the configuration at their own institution.
Each device must first be registered and configured in order to access the EDUROAM network:
- log in to https://cat.eduroam.org
- click on the button ‘Click here to download your eduroam installer’ choosing ‘University of Padua’ as your organisation. Once the configurator has been installed, fill th University credentials complete with the domain @unipd.it or @studenti.unipd.it
- Once the configuration is complete you will be able to connect to the network with Eduroam SSID; in many cases the devices will connect automatically.
You can freely access the Eduroam network wherever it is present, both in Italy and abroad. More information can be found at https://www.eduroam.org/.
