Library holdings
The mission of the Mathematics Library is to support the academic community and citizens in research and teaching in mathematics and computer science.
The Library's collection includes publications in the fields of mathematics, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, didactics and the history of mathematics and amounts to about 30,700 books and 1,200 printed journals, of which 113 are current (as of February 2024).
In particular, the library's collection includes coursebooks for undergraduate and master's degree courses in the Department of Mathematics.
The library owns 104 old books published before 1830, which are stored in the History of Science Fund in the Chemistry Library.
The library's holdings have been enriched by several donations from professors who have lectured at the University of Padua.
The library houses most of the Mathematics Department's collection of mathematical models and instruments.
