Use Policy for Electronic Resources
The terms and conditions governing the use of electronic resources are defined in the licence agreements signed between the University and the Publishers. If these conditions are breached, the Publishers reserve the right to suspend access to the resources for the entire University community.
These licences restrict usage to authorised institutional users, namely: academic staff, students, administrative and technical staff of the University of Padua, individuals formally affiliated with the University for research or teaching purposes, visiting professors, and occasional users admitted to library services.
Each licence agreement may set out specific or additional permissions or restrictions.
Electronic resources may be accessed for teaching, research, study, or other non-commercial purposes.
Authorised users may view, download, print, and store a reasonable amount of content or excerpts from the subscribed resources (such as articles, book chapters, images, tables, datasets) for educational and research purposes. Provided that the source, title, author, and publisher are clearly acknowledged, downloaded excerpts may be used in teaching materials.
The use of automated programmes for scanning or downloading content is strictly prohibited.
