Journals and articles
The Library has journals available in both paper and electronic formats, covering various subject areas such as statistics, demography, and econometrics.
To search for journals, you can use GalileoDiscovery, the discovery service of the Padua Library System. Simply click on Journal search in the top bar:
- if you know the title of a journal, you can directly search for it by typing the title in the search box;
- if you do not know the title, you can browse the list on the left by clicking on Social Sciences and selecting Statistics - General from the entries.
GalileoDiscovery provides access to a wide selection of electronic resources. You can access the full text of articles in electronic journals from any University network workstation or use the off-campus connection. No special procedure is required to consult free or open access resources.
By default, GalileoDiscovery searches in the library holdings (Library Catalogue profile). To expand your search to articles and other types of resources, you can use the Search everything profile and then refine the results using the filters on the right.
You can also use the Database search to find out more about a topic.
In the Library, journals are available on open shelves (see the map).
Some paper journals have been transferred to the Nuovo Archivio di Legnaro (NAL). You can request copies of journal articles or parts of books stored at the Deposito Legnaro via GalileoDiscovery after authentication.
