Journals and articles
The library provides an extensive collection of journals, both in print and electronic format, all listed in GalileoDiscovery.
Printed journals
The Mathematics Library keeps approximately 1200 journals, both purchased and obtained through the exchange with the Rendiconti del Seminario Matematico of the University of Padua.
For every journal, the years owned and the location are described in GalileoDiscovery
Users can get journals with a PER.A. call number by themselves. These journals are in the Books and Journals room.
Journals with DEP and PER.Z. call number are on closed shelves and should be requested to the staff. Requests should be made between 9 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Monday to Friday; requests made after 5:45 p.m. will be processed the following day.
Electronic journals
For every journal, in GalileoDiscovery, are listed the link to the journal website, the available issues and how to access them. For subscription journals, access is via the university network; remote access is available for users with an @unipd.it or @studenti.unipd.it e-mail account.
Articles
To find scientific articles on a given topic or by a certain author, it is recommended to search specialised or multidisciplinary databases.
In GalileoDiscovery it is possible to search for articles using the ‘Search everything’ drop-down menu filter: the result will only include articles that are accessible as they are contained in subscribed or open access journals.

With the Document Delivery service, it is possible to request articles not available in the journals provided by the University. Users already registered in Nilde can make the request directly with this service.
