Bibliographic exhibition on the occasion of the day of remembrance

January 27, 1945 – January 27, 2025

published: Jan 24, 2025

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, the Philosophy Library presents a bibliographic exhibition dedicated to the Day of Remembrance.

Eighty years ago the gates of Auschwitz opened: on January 27, 1945, Soviet troops stormed the Polish concentration camp and freed the few survivors, revealing the horror of the Nazi genocide. The war would end in Italy only in April with the popular uprising in the cities of the north and the arrival of the Americans. That moment, crystallized in time, has today become the symbol of a collective awakening of consciences and January 27 has become the Day of Remembrance that is celebrated every year to know and understand the tragedy of the Shoah, its millions of victims and all those deported to the Nazi camps.

The volumes are displayed at the entrance of the library,  HERE you can find the complete bibliography with active links to our catalog, to find out the details and who owns the books in Padua, in addition to us.
