Using the Libraries

The University Library System is organized into library clusters, central libraries, and disciplinary libraries. While most of the services are standardized, it is useful to know each location's specific characteristics.

In this section, users will find information on individual libraries, their locations, opening hours, how to access them, and the provided services: physical and digital book borrowing methods, document delivery, interlibrary loan, access to the discovery that collects the university's bibliographic collections, and how to access resources also off-campus.

How to ask for copies of documents not available in any of the University Libraries collections.

How to ask for books that University Libraries do not possess.

Faculty, students and staff of the University of Padua can access electronic resources outside the University network via the Auth-proxy service or with Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication.

GalileoDiscovery is a discovery service that allows a simultaneous search of the University's collections and the libraries cooperating in the Paduan Library System.
