Books

The Library offers a large number of books, both in paper and electronic form. To check if the Library owns a particular book, please search Galileo Discovery.

To read or download electronic resources when you are off-campus is possible only through Auth-proxy or Single Sign-On (SSO).

Since August 2023 most of the Library books have been transferred to “Nuovo Archivio di Legnaro” (NAL). To borrow books kept in the Legnaro archive you must send a request through Galileo Discovery, and wait a few days.

The Didattica Section

The books kept in the Library in the section named “Didattica” are texts used in the lessons and for the exams. Please note that all those books have a sticker on their spine. Each colour of the sticker has a different meaning:

Red sticker: books not available for loan

Yellow sticker: loan is granted for one night or the weekend. From Monday to Friday, the book can be borrowed from 5 p.m. to the next morning: you must take the book back by 10 a.m. on the following day. On Fridays, you can borrow the book after 11 a.m. and return it by Monday 10 a.m.

Green sticker: books whose loan period is 15 days, which is also renewable if there are no other requests from other students.
