The library
On 1 March 2018, the Liviano Library of Ancient Art and Music Sciences was inaugurated (see press review - ITA).
The library was created from the merger of the ‘Biblioteca Interdipartimentale Tito Livio’ and the ‘Biblioteca di Storia delle Arti visive e della Musica’, which occupied the spaces on the upper floors of the Liviano, which is still home to the Dipartimento di Scienze Storiche, Geografiche e dell'Antichità and Dipartimento dei Beni Culturali.
Today, the library is located in the spaces below the Sala dei Giganti. To learn more about the renovation and the path from the University's first public library to the new Liviano Library of Antiquities see the virtual exhibition ‘Giganti in biblioteca’ (ITA).
