What comes next? The entrance to the Geosciences Library has a new face
A nautilus fossil immersed in the Universe, in a web of events that led to the formation of the Earth as we know it today, and with the final question “What comes next?” inviting us to take responsibility for the future of our planet.
This was the winning idea of the “Leave a Mark” initiative among students of the Department of Geosciences to create a mural at the entrance of the library.
The graphics were designed by the students of the Modigliani High School of Art in Padua, Who, with skill and scientific precision, drew the succession of geological eras. They also related fossils and added impact to the question about our future, which, in the upright position of the nautilus, depicts a question mark and asks what comes next.
In recent days, the painting was applied to the entrance walls of the Geosciences Library through an innovative digital fresco technique.
Worth a visit!
