Library holdings
The holdings of the Geosciences Library originated from the merger on January 1, 2007, of the Department of Geology, Paleontology and Geophysics and the Department of Mineralogy and Petrology merged with their collections into the current Department of Geosciences.
The library has a considerable number of holdings consisting of:
- periodicals
- monographic volumes
- a collection of ancient-rare volumes prior to 1830
- four collections of miscellanies
- collection of undergraduate and doctoral theses
- cartographic collections
