Journals and articles
Paper journals
The Geosciences Library maintains 2,000 print journals. The University Library System provides access through the catalogue to more than 4,600 electronic journals.
If you want to know what current subscription journals the Library holds, view the following list.
If you know the title of a journal, search the Padua Library System Catalogue by selecting the material type “Journal.”
If “Library of Geosciences, Available, ...” appears in the search results in the “Copy Location” field, it means that the journal is in the library in print format.
You can also check the location and whether the year and issue you are interested in is present. Here is how to read the holdings description.
Take note of the collocation and request the issue at the reception desk.
To find the full title of journals see the list of standard abbreviations: Journal Title Abbreviations
Electronic Journals
Through the Catalogue, you can search for electronic journals that are accessible because they are open access or because they are purchased by subscription from the SBA.
With the Catalog you can also search for the citation or an article in an electronic journal.
If you can't find the journal or article you need, read how to request the material.
