Bibliographic exhibition "Abitare il confine. Relazioni di cura, autodeterminazione e accompagnamento nel fine vita"
On the occasion of the OSMA International Conference—“Beyond Medically Assisted Suicide: Perspectives in Dialogue with Palliative Psychology” (October 1, Padua)
the “Fabio Metelli” Central Psychology Library presents
Abitare il confine. Relazioni di cura, autodeterminazione e accompagnamento nel fine vita (Living on the frontier. Relations of care, self-determination, and end-of-life support)
a bibliographic exhibition held in the Library’s spaces on the fifth floor of the Psico 2 building, at Via Venezia 12/2, open to the public from October 1 through November 15.
The exhibition presents a journey through readings and in-depth explorations that compare psychological, medical, philosophical, anthropological, and social perspectives on death, dying, and grief.
Through a selection of studies about palliative care, the caregiver-patient relationship, end-of-life decisions, and the process of coping with loss, the exhibition suggests to reflect on the various forms of support and on the meaning of that “great journey of the mortal” evoked by Emanuele Severino.
